Earphone is a device we use for listening to music, radio, or any kind of sound. The using of earphone is to cut down the noise. You can use them while doing exercise, waiting for someone, or even listening to what is going on if your computer or television's speaker are nor working. However, it is doesn't matter how useful earphones are, they still have their disadvantages. Using earphone for a long period of time per day is a cause which lead you to ear problems such as hearing loss, decibel ranges and ear infections.
Hearing loss
Hearing loss is the main bad effect for people who like listening to loud music with their earphone that plug directly to their ears canal. People who listening at volumes exceeding 90 decibel, can suffer temporary loss of hearing, especially to teenagers who wear their earphones for long periods of time.Decibel Ranges
Decibel is a unit for measuring how loud a sound is. If you listen to the music with a appropriate decibel you don't have to worry much about the hearing loss problem. The appropriate decibels that we should listen while we are using earphone is around 60% to 70% of your phone's maximum volume. You will face the lose of your hearing for 15 minutes if you listen at 100-105 decibel which mean over 85% of your device's maximum volume.Ear Infections
Since earphones are made for two ears, it is quite inevitable that people share them. Regular use of earphones can enhance the growth of harmful bacteria, and sharing or borrowing earphones may just cause the transfer someone else's bacteria to your ears. Research leader, Dr. Chiranjay Mukhopadhyay, advises everyone to avoid sharing earphones. If it cannot be helped, sanitize them before using. To sum up. I suggested that Whenever you want to use your earphone, you have to avoid hearing loss by not listening to something for so long period of time. Giving your ears a rest for 10 minute every hour will help your ears recover from being bombarded by concentrated sound waves.
